Web like stuff coming from Clam side

Is there a parasite,worm, or whatever that puts out a web like stuff ? I noticed there is something on the side of my Clam. It looks like a snail shell, but what looks like hermit crab living in it. Very small, about the size of a pea, the clam is about 4"-5". The clam is in good health and not showing signs of harm being done by what ever it is, for now.

I have that same little creature living on the side of my live rock he shoots his web stuff on the shrooms but it doesnt bother them.

Most likely a Vermetid snail. They are harmless, but can get out of control.
