Went wireless on this tank cam, sorry about the occasional interference! Cam is located on Rt side of tank looking into the length of the tank.

here is the link mms://bentheredonethat.us/fishcam

that is really cool.i was thinking of doing that to my tank after im all setup.what kind of webcam is that?do you need to have the computer on the whole time for it to work?i see you have that tank well stocked with fish.i think i saw at least 4 tangs,a few clowns, and cleaner wrasse.

Very nice. Look at that flow... I love it. Do torches like that much flow? I need to move mine up some if that is the case.

Yeah what type of camera and how is yours setup? It was streaming rather nicely I must say. Was impressed.

it is a x10 wireless cam and yes the computer has to be on...i am using windows media encoder which is a free download and i send it to my Server operating system that has windows media streaming on it.

I think i have finished on the big fish...1 yellow tang, 1 regal tang, and 1 emporer angel. Everything else will be smaller like anthias and wrasses, and of course my clownfish. I would love to put a trigger in the tank, but hate to give up my crab population.

was that a lunar wrasse i saw in there .
pretty cool cam beautiful fish and man the flow in there looks serious
thanks
Dennis

Ben, That is awesome. You will have to educate us on the process to put it online. Great work.

WOW, that is the coolest. I watched it several times today. When I'm up and flowing, I've got to do that. I'll beg for help when it's time.

the key for me was getting a server operating system, cause they have windows media services

Whats your bandwidth. I watched for hours today and never saw any flicker of lag. I would say it was more like watching a video than something streaming :)

i have FIOS with its 2mb upload speed. Thats the reason i went FIOS was the better upload compared to dsl and RR.

I was thinking about it, before streaming thru Windows Media Player, i used a software that (cannot remember the name) that does generic streaming and you would just have to have your port on your computer and router if one is installed open for people to access the cam. I chose my route cause of the variable bandwith streams you get from a single stream in Windows media encoder and almost all PCs have Media Player.

Thanks....I am sad though...came home yesterday noticed a coral frag missing...it was green with red polyps..I was so looking forward to it getting bigger...it was a single branch and i sifted thru the sand, but cannot find it anywhere...its like throwing money away!
