I like the simplicity and ease of reading everything. And first names only with RC name is a great idea.
How about locating the sponsor banners on each page and not just the first page? And perhaps place it at the top right of the page like RC does? You'd have to enforce a size requirement if you do that so the page doesn't jump around while you are reading it.
Also, a member section or tank-of-the-month article would be nice if you can prompt people to provide pictures and descriptions.
I always felt burdened to retain the history when I updated. I wouldn't constrain myself to that any more because of the labor involved -- just make the best site possible. Only thing I would save is some form is an archive of the meetings and topics because it shows that we are an active club.
Yeah, I was thinking exactly what you suggested Scott. Unfortunately the way the website is set up now, you would have to manually update each separate page. I will have to go back and make the header and the side bar a separate "entity", that way, one change would affect all pages. I'm trying to figure out suggests now before I actually start working on the site.
Looking through the statistics, From January to March we had 0 people visit the site. In April, we had 1 person visit the site. And in may, we've had 54 unique visitors.
Looking at that data, what do you think we should do with the site?
I like the layout. But the banner in the upper-right takes you to our sponsor page and not the site of the banner's owner. If you click on the banner in the sponsor page, though, it seems to work.
Yeah, I didn't touch the sponsor banner's other then moving it, so I'm not sure whats wrong with it. I'll need to look at the script to figure it out. But this layout is only up temporarily until after the frag swap. I'll do an overhaul of the site after then.

Interested in electric or acoustic? Or hybrid? The acoustic has stripped down their 200-series so it is competative in cost, but I'd save up for an all-solid version like the 414CE (which has the nice, crisp highs which are typical of Taylor, but adds in the mid-range for a more full solo sound). When you are ready to buy, I would try the Music Depot out a little north of Pigeon Forge. They give great prices and have 140+ Taylors in stock.
But shoot me a message and let me know what kind of guitar you are looking for. I can talk about Taylors like Dave can talk about SPS.
