Weird anemone problem

I think the anemone is a Gig. Whenever it is daylight or when I have the lights on it shrivels up. At night when only the blue moonlighting is on it looks very healthy.

Water parameters are good except nitrates are at 5 ppm. I do not think at 5 it would affect the anemone.

Any ideas?? Lights are two yrs old as I bought this used. The new bulbs will be in tomorrow but there is a 5 hr period when it is daylight until lights come on and it is still shriveled up. It doesn't get direct sunlight. Lighting is 110 watts pc mixed actinic and 10k bulbs for 30 gallon tank

Well firstly, you don't have enough light for a gig (if that is what you have).
A constantly deflating gig is not a good sign, how long have you had it? how old is the system? any chance of a pic?

I see you said params are in check but what are the readings?

more light the better my tank was set up for over a year before i even tried one
