weird blisters on sea fan

Not sure if this is the correct forum to post this question

My sea fan was doing great for a number of months and now has two weird blisters on some of the central stalks. One easily popped when I gently brushed it to clean the glass. Water parameters are normal and I target feed it every day and do a 5 percent water change everyday. Any one have any ideas of what's going on?

If they start to spread rapidly it may be worth while to prune the affected areas before you lose the whole specimen.

It looks to me like it has just grown a little thicker in those locations. I would leave it alone.
