Weird bugs, ID

In my sump there are all these little bugs on the surface of the water. Its like they are just on the surface film. I don't think they are pods, but who knows. The are white and shaped like a grain of rice, but they are really really tiny. There are thousands of them and they kinda creep me out lol I got a pic, but it's not the best, but its the best pic i could get. The little white things are the bugs.

Are they swimming. or "fell" into the sump?? Need to get some out and magnify it. They may not even be aquatic.

yeah they are swimming, they dart all over the surface of the water, well right under the surface...kinda

They might be springtails, they are attracted to salty water...

I have some in my land hermit crabs saltwater pool. They just apperaed. They eat the filmy stuff on the surface. Weird. :hmm5:

Sorry... That's not what I meant.. A while ago I had lots of small flies (really small) that just hung around my SW tanks. Do not know what they were but just disappeared after a while.
You know anyone with a microscope??

You can try netting them and washing them down the sink.

They probably harmless.
