Why would you not want snails? They are good as part of the CUC. Most of those will likely turn into fish food anyway, but if your tank is conducive to snails breeding it probably means there is enough food and a few more snails wouldn't hurt.
You aren't going to just have a million snails all over your tank anytime soon..
Its pretty rare for more than a few to actually survive long..
Something else in the tank will likely make a snack of 90% of them..
And yes.. snails are beneficial.. If you do happen to have a bunch just throw them in a back and trade them at the local fish store for something else..
And with the amount of green on those rocks.. You most certainly need some snails and more.. That is some seriously green algae
I’ve got a tank full of these tiny little snails. Not sure what they are, but look like these hats worn by Vietnamese rice farmers. Nothing seems to eat them, they just keep multiplying
