It looks like your corals are melting. What are your tank parameters? I see in your signature it says "still cycling" Also what is your lighting.

looks like spaghetti worms from the pictures. They collect food with those long tentacles. I Have them all over my tank. They usually are more visible during a bloom or pods spawning. Feeding Plankton

Are they innocent collectors? Pods!!! I hope so, my tank is now growing coralline which I'm thrilled.

My guess is vermetid snail. It's kinda hard to see the tubes in ur pics, but if you do a google images search you can see some examples.

They are like a worm that lives inside a hard swirly shell tube and shoots out a cobwebby snot net to catch food from the water. It's not the worst thing to have, some people even like them for cleaning the water, but a lot of people think the stringers irritate coral or they just don't want all the tubes around so they snap them off or out superglue over the end of it to kill them.

They are fine and Cause no harm..There are many types of them.some live in sand some in the rock some in both. Some are like snails and can move around some are like say a Feather Duster worm. They all are technically worms if i remember correctly.

Very interesting, and yes it resembled snot......or something else lol. Any who if it's of no harm I will leave them be, I've just never seen this and all at the same time was really freaky bc it was everywhere in a matter of a few mins. They did end up retracting and my coral banded grabbed a few as well.

I also vote to get rid of them. Note that their shell is very sharp and will give you a nasty little cut or puncture. The cut always get infected when I get snagged by them.

+1 Vermiteds
And personally they don't really bother me that much. I like diversity in my tank, I've never been cut by one, and I think they simply add to marine life. Just my opinion.

They're vermetids . The strands are mucus webs which they produce to catch food. The webs can irritate corals and clams and lead to coral death over time. The small white dots on your magnet are their babies and if there's enough food in your tank there'll be an infestation. They can even block up your pipes when they're big enough. One person had his tank overflow from outlet pipe being blocked by them. If I were you I'd get rid of them.

Gotcha! I was wondering what those things were, there are quite a few on my powerhead as well.

Vermetid snails for sure. Find the opening to the snail and super glue it shut. It'll be a goner....you don't want them in your display

That is is what it looks like to me too..
Except I hate them, They irritate corals and sometimes reach plague proportions.
