I haven't been on much, but I just got a reply notification on one of your threads that tipped me off the forum was back.

I heard they were not going to replace everything in the Opry Mills mall. Is that true? Only part of it will be operational?

I think that the whole mall is scheduled for reopening the spring of 2012. I heard that the theater and some other things might be open this winter. But who knows what will happen.

The wife and I used to go there from time to time. Good to hear they will get the whole thing back up and going.

They just started (in the last few weeks) working on getting the mall (besides Bass Pro which has been open for a few months) up and going. I heard yesterday that they were going to open up the Aquarium restaurant again.

Man, I hope they get as many Achilles tangs as they had before... I fell in love with those fish when we had a club meeting there a few years back...

Lord, Achilles Tangs are super pretty. I wonder if they will have the ice sculptures and stuff that they typically have around there at Christmas time.

I remember reading on the tennesean a list of the stores that were coming back and I remember the Aquarium being one of them....

I cant wait till the mall reopens so everything can feel like it's back to normal again....

And btw thanks mods for reopening this area again... I know a couple of people including myself talked to the mods and were told they were seeing what they could do and I'm glad it was done.

Yes the Aquarium restaurant is reopening. As of right now looking to be around thanksgiving. I was at the aquarium yesterday and some fish are back in the big tank. But the restaurant was bare. The whole mall has alote of work to be done.

Such a sad thing about that whole place. Glad it is coming back. Never had the pleasure of eating there

We have eaten at Rainforest Cafe and Macaroni Grill at that mall. Rainforest Cafe scared the kids when there were younger. The animals are animated every 15 minutes or so, and that's when the screaming began.

The food is better at the Rainforest cafe but by no means is the food bad at the aquarium... but as far as scenery it's the aquarium all the way...
