any one know where the best place to buy this is? I know Lowe's and Home Depot dont carry it and I'm to damn impatient to wait for it via UPS again. Any suggestions on where to look.

Local sign companies and suppliers usually have it. They usually stock #3. However getting these jerks to sell it to you is another story. Most "sign companies" will not sell plastic or fabrication meterials to end users, they are downright rude about it in most cases. The local "acrylic" vendors usually sell to sign companies. In most cities will not even talk to you unless you can show them that you are a sign company.

How do I know this? Well after calling a dozen or so suppliers and sign companies here in pittsburgh and getting "get lost" type of answers, I decided to call companies in several major cities or markets (just to see if this was a local thing). I found out that it is an "industry" thing. BTW I offered to open a business account with my FED EIN and State tax ID, still got the same answer.

TAP plastics has locations in most cities, and they will sell to you in most cases. See if you can find one.

Thanx looks like im ordering online once again. Had to do the same thing last time. Was hoping that someone Knew something I had overlooked. Guess my project will just take that much longer to make

IF I may ask, which weld on is for acrylic to acrylic? I'm building a frag box to place in my tank. Also, for a table saw what is the best tooth blade to get. I just picked up a 90 tooth titanium blade at Home Depot but haven't opened it yet.

it is for acrylic on acrylic.....as far as the saw blade i belive it is 125 teeth that you want not sure been a while sense i had to buy i blade and my shop is actully in a storage unit..lol sves on the neighbours complaining(apartments=( )

i have bought it sevral places online but due to losing all my bookmarks when my cpu crashed last year unless i can find a better price lloks like ill be following the link above. allready have my pieces cut so need my weld on(cry)

Thanks. I have my acrylic also and I read that many use an 80 tooth blade with very good cuts. It just has to be a good carbide triple tip blade or something like that. I'll test mine out as my other one is the generic one

oh and far as cutting plaatics including acrylics use the most teeth per inch that you can find, the more teeth the better the cut, if not sure ask the guy wandering around with nothing to do in your local home depot

Yea he wasn't help. They had a 125 tooth blade but it looked cheap and was only 30 bucks. I picked up the nice one that is 90 teeth that had carbide tips. It's the 10 inch blade and the best they had for that size.

yeah sometimes your best bet is to look around online. I found the local tool stores dont always have what i need.

A quality 90 tooth should work fine. One thing you want to do is use a zero clearance throat plate in your saw. I bought some plastic blank ones for my saw. You install the blade, lower it all the way down. Put in the new throat plate, turn on the saw and slowly let the blade cut a opening.

was getting some stuff for projects today hit both home depot and lowes...figured id check it out.. Lowes had a better selction on the blades, they had 6 of them 125 or higher all but 2 of them looked kinda cheap.

How come Weldon #4 is all but impossible to find ? Even TAP Plastics doesn't carry it anymore... anyone know what replaced it?

This was the last of my #4 gallon. #3 is OK but sets way too fast!
When I called my sign supply warehouse they sold me #5 from a different manufacturer. I believe they said it was made by BELL??? No label on can. Never heard of it or could find any reference to it.
I believe it is same as #4 but has an additional citric acid? to give more working time. Had absolutely no problems using it and now I prefer it over weld-on #4.
