Hello im looking into sealing 2 holes in an acrylic sump with a few patches of acrylic. Does it matter how thick the acrylic is that i would be patching it with? And what weld-on should i pick u? Weld-on 40?
The acrylic thickness your using as a patch does not matter. You can use the standard Acrylic glue if you like because its plenty strong for a patch and then back it up with a little E6000 on the inside for insurance. GL

I went to ace and couldnt find anything and they didnt have weld-on, they did have the e6000 but it seemed like it was a goop type material. would just the e6000 work?
You need to get weldon either in store at a place like tap plastics(SF and I think there is one in the north Bay area possibly or online.. Ace/home depot isn't going to carry it.
Your patch material may matter depending on what your patching, plus always remember that bigger is usually better when it comes to patches.
Look on youtube for some examples and how to apply it. It's not as easy as it looks to make it look neat but it's not hard to do in general.

E6000 is a silicone adhesive. To be honest I think E6000 alone would work but personally I would use the acrylic glue as well to attach the patch. Like mentioned above you can get it at Tap Plastics. There is one in San leandro,Fremont and Pleasanton.
