Well Water

Here is my situation, I need help. I tested my well water a few days ago and the number that the TDS meter showed was around 945ppm (horrible water, right?). Well, what would you do? Do I need to get someone from the city or water company to come out and test my water and see what is wrong?

I don't want to go out and buy a RO/Di unit and go thru refilling membranes left and right. Anyone out there, please help!

TDS is a general dissolved solids test. It does not mean your water is unhealthy. Get a complet test done and see what is in your water. A whole house filter can remove a lot of that for @ $30.

I agree with cchofman....I am on well water and had two different water companies come and test my well water and the ntest the water coming out of my RO unit. I did it more for piece of mind so that I knew what was going in my tank. The tests are usually frree if you allude to buying a new system (which I never did) from them.
