Wellsophyllia has lost it's puffiness

This has really been puzzling me for the last year... I've had a wellsophyllia for almost 2 years now... the first year I had it, when it's puffed up during the day, this thing was huge... it used to look so beautiful... then after the first year, it stopped puffing up... for the last year it's looked like just the skeleton with skin over it... it hasn't receded any and still seems healthy but it just doesn't get that puffy look anymore... My water parameters are as follows: CA: 440, DKH=9, Nitrates=0, Phosphates=0, Mag: 1400... No fish harass it... I just haven't been able to figure out for the last year why it hasn't been it's beautiful old self... I've moved it around to higher flow and lower flow areas with no change so I moved it back to its original spot... I still feed it all the time... it's only about 1/3 the size it used to be when it's opened up all the way... Anyone else experience anything like this??? Attached are some photos...

Have you tried putting it on the sandbed maybe under an overhang or something so that it gets lower light? I think after a few weeks you'll see a difference. They don't usually do very well on rocks, so it could be either too much light, rocks, a combination of the two, or something else... How are you testing your salinity?

i'll try that out. Not sure if it's the lighting or the rocks because he was fine under the same lighting and location for a year... however, he does seem to expand more when just my actinics are on and the daylights are off
