I'm to lazy to edit everything but here's a lil teaser let me know what you all think?

amazing creature!! Nice exposure too. I have to add my thoughts though. I wish there was either more or less of the Sea Dragon. With the crop as it is I either yearn for a full body shot where I can see all of his appendages, or a tighter crop of his head and body. Does that make sense asthetically?

What equipment were you using?

Very nice shot. By the way, do they still have the Great White there at MBA? I know they have kept one in the past and justed wondered if it's still there.

ipt, yeah i know what your saying with cropping some out cause i ended up with like 90% maybe crop it down to like 60% or something.....that shot i was using

nikon d5000
Nikon 35mm f/1.8G AF-S DX (its a prime lens stopped to f/2.2 on that shot)

nitro, no they dont have the great white anymore, i remember going there when i was younger and seeing the great white pretty menacing creature...

Wow what an amazing shot! You did that handheld? They dont allow tripods or monopods.

They have actually had 5 great whites total as the juveniles are often caught as bycatch from commercial fisheries, then some of the fishermen contact the aquarium letting them know they have accidentally captured a great white. I go there once or twice a year, and I am actually going there next week. I don't remember exactly when the latest shark was put on display, but I do know that one was just released in November 2009 (5 months ago). I'm just not 100% sure if that is the last one they had or if they gotten a new one since then.

Octoshark, Thanks for the info. Didn't mean to get off topic, I just wondered about the GW's. Very interesting to think they could attempt to keep these amazing creatures.
