Hello everyone! I set up a 2 gallon Non-Photosynthetic tank. Its been set up for a little while. Its got 2 inches of sand, several pieces of LR in there, Sun corals, a small power head with adjustable flow. There is no light on it. I'll post some pictures of it tomorrow.

Hi! Interesting project.

What filtration do you plan to use?
What size will be sun corals?
How do you plan to feed?

Keep us posted, finding efficient filtration for non-photosynthetic picos could solve small spaces problem.

LR, LS, and 60% water changes every week.
Its a very small sun coral with about 5 heads.
Turn off the pump and squirt meaty foods over it.
Will do. And if everything goes good after a while, I'm going to upgrade it to a 10g.

Ok, here are the pictures like I promised. Sorry for the crapy quality. I'll try to get some better pictures.

It's good, that it is small. The problem I encountered with my suns, is sufficient filtration. Pieces of food are getting lost in the tank, and, if the food is not washed well, the dissolved organics adds bioload too. Eventually water quality drops.

I have very small babies of sun coral in 5g tank with 2g filtration complex (micron sock, actually), not too bad, but the tank is not fed by meaty food, the growth of small tubastreas is very very slow. But they recover fast with good feeding.

Oh that power head you have I have it too you need to open that sucker up and pull the sponge out of it or it will get gumed up and burn out almost happened to me and everything in my mini fuge died
