i just decided to check things out with a flashlight and discovers a big clearish white blob thing attached to a big frosgspawn colony. at first i thougt my gbta went on some crusade to attack it but hes still in his normal spot. any ideas what this might be?

Where is it attached to?

If it's a clearish-bubble-looking like growth in the center of one of the heads then the coral is growing and splitting that head. Nothing to worry about.

There is also a post in the advanced forums about "polyp dripping" in which the polyps ooze out to form another colony. I think one of the posters metioned it happened with their frogspawn. I'll see if I can find the thread.

Doug, yes it does appear to be like some of the corals in the thread, thanks for the link! ill repost if it starts to do anything like become a new colony or something. some of the photos though had "peices" of the corals like dripping off of the colony but this thing is just a clearish white blog that shrinks when i touch it. we'll see what happens. ill try to get a pic but its difficult to see as it is.
