What a Difference No PHOSPHATES makes

I was having some problems with a couple of corals not opening up for a couple of days. I got a little advice from Mike about phospates so I got a test kit and......dang if they weren't about .3 or higher. I got the Seachan Phosphate removal pellets. I put them in a small media bag and drop it in the sump/refuge. Over night it dropped to .1!

My Corals are breathing a sigh of relief. Everything came out hugh today.

THANKS MIKE....:D

do you know if its ok to use the phosphate pellets with carbon? it would seem ok but im just being sure since i never used the phosphate pellets before.

Seachem makes something called SeaGel that is a mix of phosguard and carbon... so I don't see any reason you wouldn't be able to.
