Hi,
I purchased the $599 Starter kit from cherrycorals last night...believe it or not it arrives tomorrow lol.
Talk about great customer service!
I currently do not have a need to use the controller right now because I am breaking down my 180 and putting up a 300 gallon cube.
I will take it out and familiarize myself with the software as much as I can though.
I would like to know what else I would need to purchase over the next few months to have the ability to perform these functions and, of course, if all these CAN be performed by the profilux:
1. Temperature contol, on 1,500 watts of heaters and a 1.5 - 2 h.p. chiller.
2. Lighting control for three, 6 bulb ATI, T-5 units.
3. The ability to shut my skimmer pumps off for a pre-determined length of time, during feeding/dosing, with the push of a button on the controller.
4. Auto-top off abilities.
5. pH monitoring and control (shuts off Ca Reactor feed pump if it gets to low, shuts off kalk pump if it gets too high etc).
6. The ability to control up to 4 Tunze Streams as well as their 7095 controller.
7. The ability to control two Tunze Waveboxes.
*** I have the 7095 and Wavebox controllers but if the Profilux can do it then there are less wires.

8. The ability to turn on/off my return pump, which is located in another room, from the unit.
9. ORP monitioring/control.
10. The ability to scrape my glass and remount frags that fall over.
11. The ability to check AND control the Profilux from a PC or my phone (mini-PC), and to send warnings if, say temperature is getting too high.
12. A separate float level sensor in my top-off reservoir, if it is getting too low, an alarm/notice will let me know.
13. As an additional safety feature, the ability to turn fans on my sump to help cool the tank if the temperature gets too high.
14. The ability to control 3rd party LED fixtures for night viewing etc.
I am sure there are more but I can't think of them right now.
