What all I need

Is there anyone that can tell me what all I need for my 10 gallon aquarium to start it. I know its small but I am putting it in my dorm room. I have the tank, the filter, the heater, powerhead, thermometer, salt level thing, salt, livesand already in it, and live rock in it. It has been running for a year with just that in it. But there is some things I know I am missing and I want to know what all that I need for it. I also have the tester to check all levels. If someone could tell me what else to get for it that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much

Well, it sounds like you have all that you need already, although a small skimmer wouldn't hurt any. Water changes will help with nutrient export. I would do at least two gallons a week. You didn't mention your lighting. If you just want fish you can use a regular stock 10gal light system, but if you want any corals or other photosynthetic animals I would suggest you get a strong PC, T5, or Metal Halide lighting system. Metal halide 75 watt fixture should do. Get some thing at least 65-75 watts. If not Halide then get 50/50 actnics.

What kind of filter are you using? The HOB (hang on back) kind? If so you could change that into a refugium with ease and have another means of nutrient export. :)

I have a 96 watt 50/50 light on it, and a hang on the back filter. Do I need to get any other kind of sand other than livesand.

My roommate and I rock a 12gal. Nano Cube. It's a reef tank using roughly 65watts of 50/50 and it seems to be doing very well with just LR, LS (crushed coral, maybe 1/2" high), and the Nano's filter's minus the bio balls.

I wouldn't worry about a skimmer.

What do I do about the green algae that grows in the tank. I have hermit crabs only in there now. What should I get for it?

Also another question. If I decide to put some mushrooms and things small in the tank should I put anything like Micro vert drops or anything like that in the tank. Or should they be fine when I put fish in it.
