What and how do you feed your algae blennies

Thank you for your interest and question about our Algae Blennies diet. The Algae Blennies housed at our California facility naturally graze on aquarium algae. Their diet is supplemented with Grassalaria and Spirulina. In addition enriched Mysis shrimp are gradually introduced to their diets.
Algae Blennies do especially well in older tanks that provide indigenous green algae.
You may wish to feed the previously listed diet supplemented with tiny amounts of fresh vegetables.

Thank you again for your interesting question. Algae Blennies can be fed blanched zucchini, broccoli, leaf lettuce and nori. Because the Blenny waits at the bottom to feed, the use of a lettuce clip close to the bottom works well with the vegetables.
