What anthias for a 120?

Anyone? I still can't decide between dispars, ignitus, or barletts. I really don't want to get the barletts, they are expensive and not as pretty IMHO. What about deworming anthias? I'm really worried about getting them to eat. I feed 2-3x a day, so I think multiple feedings shouldn't be a problem.

Prazipro can be used in the QT water itself, but is much more effective if you can get the fish to consume it. Soaking food virtually never works. Gut loading live brine with it is your best bet.

I'm still going to say that in most cases, bartlett are much hardier than dispar, ignitus, or carberryi, for that matter. Especially for the first time anthias keeper.

To deworm anthias, just gut load a batch of live adult brine with PraziPro.

I'll take a shot glass of brine, add a 1/2 teaspoon of PraziPro. Let it sit for an 1/2 hour, then feed. Besure to use anything you gutload within a few hours, otherwise you will have to re-gutload them.

I order 5 dispar from an online store, 1 died during shipping. The other 4 are still hidding behind the rock. I will try to get them to eat today.

Seems simple enough using the prazipro. The brine will eat it when I add it to their water? I could deworm them in the display then no? Or will the prazipro effect the corals etc. Guess I will have to settle for the barletts then...

akmugen, let me know how they do, where did you order them from and how much if you don't mind me asking? Are you getting another barletts for free?

I have two ventralis and a bimac and I only feed once a day with out any problems. They are a bit more money but well worth it IMO. Good luck either way.

If you are feeding foods soaked or loaded with Prazipro, how often/long should you continue the feedings in QT?

Ventralis anthias are gorgeous, but yes, a little out of my price range. I want to have small shoal 3-5 so the cheaper the better.

They won't be aggressive towards the wrasses and other very peaceful fish (firefish etc)? What about size? I think they will get to big and add too much to the bioload compared to the barletts, dispars or ignitus. I really don't know though, I am no anthias expert.
