What are some of the more rare Zoa's and Paly's?

I really like the look of the zoa's and paly's, although I am new and do not know what the difference is.
At my LFS I see lots listed as "very rare" or whatever, and marked up expensive, but then check on here and they are cheap and easy to find.
Toxic revenge is one of my favorites so far.

So what are some of the actual more rare ones?

or serene novas......
google serene novas or look it up on zoaid.com. they're insane!

watch out for people saying this and that polyps are rare.....make sure you know the market because even the "rare" hornets are very quickly becoming commonplace.

Rastas are also "rare" although they do show up from time to time at 50 per polyp. Rare=LE=expensive.

IMO these "rare" zoas mean they are just really in demand or hot right now. Wait a year and then buy them then so you can get a really nice frag for the same pp price it is now. This hobby is about patience right?

I agree that the rare ones generally become plentiful after a while. Rastas are just plain slow growers which makes them rare so I agree there. Have to go look at the serene novas, but you can search everywhere right now and not find a soprano for sale. They are notorious melters and I think were only imported by a few people. If someone had them, they would sell for much higher than anything else out there right now.

Rare is a very funny word in this hobby, and used quite loosely, which you are already picking up on. The LFS selling them as "Rare" might actually be correct. It is "rare" they get in those particular color zoas at that store.

Since you are new, I'd suggest you just buy what you like. The top sticky in the zoa forum should be able to give you some ideas.

Sopranos are the rarest of rare and I know of one company that gets them from time to time but rarely do they survive they are extreme melters lol
