What are These?

Hi, I am NEW to this forum, and I would like to know if this is a good tank. I would also like to know the specific names of these coral. This is a 4gallon tank, a 1.5lb rock, and a bio wheel filtersystem. It also has a Marineland LED light that is super strong for the size of tank (I DID RESEARCH).

I test my water almost every day, but I seem to get some low ammonia such as .50ppm, will this harm my coral or fish?!!

The rest of the water chem is perfect, PH is 8.3, Nitrate 0, Nitrite is 0, and I add natural trace minerals from KENT every time I do a water change. My salinity is 1.24

The xenia and iverts have been in for about 2 months, and the polyps and mushroom have been in for less than a week.

Some form of Discosoma (neglecta? maybe) for the mushroom. I know they get sold as "Umbrella Mushroom" around here, but that doesn't necessarily narrow it down.

Protopalythoa sp. for the polyps.

Thanks, the guy at the store sold it for 6 dollars. I know the Xenia is called Pom Pom, but I also want to know if this is a good habitat for my fish.

.50 Ammonia? Thats a very bad thing. Can't believe that your corals haven't started to dissolve yet. How'd you run across that number? Did you double test?
What is your Calcium, ALK, Magnesium numbers?

What kind of test kit are you using, and how old is it? I agree with the above poster, .50 ppt ammonia should be MELTING everything in that tank. I believe your reading is wrong.

If you just have that little clown goby, its a wonderful habitat for him. You have xenia, a mushroom, and some kind of palythoa from what I can see.

I would be very careful about adding things in your tank, though. Kent is a widely used brand, but the rule of thumb for dosing is that if you aren't testing for it, don't dump it in. Your tank is very small and it would be very easy to overdose on anything. IMO, just the trace elements and minerals from the salt mix you use when doing water changes is PLENTY good enough for soft corals.

It's .50ppMILLION. I am using the ApI SaltWater Master Test Kit. The colours are hard to read, so I might not be accurate 100%. I have a Goby, a Scarlett Shrimp, and a Hermit Blue Legged Hermit. The kit is only 1 month old.

Yes, I understand its .50ppm. That is still very horrible. Any Ammonia reading is terrible and can cause the death of all your coral. The fish don't much care for it either.
