What are these?

Yesterday I got me a rock with a few Kenya tree corals for starters in my fish and coral to be tank. I have pictures attached of some extras that came on the rock. I'm new to corals but these resemble yellow polyps to me?

They are aiptasia. Not good, if you can take the rock out of the tank and remove the Kenya tree from the rock and discard the rock.

They are aiptasia. Not good, if you can take the rock out of the tank and remove the Kenya tree from the rock and discard the rock.

disregard the rock... ***.... if your going to remove the coral why wouldn't you just remove the aiptasia, there are numerous methods for doing so...

No, even the slightest amount of flesh left on the rock will grow back, ripping off aiptasia is very hard.
Just remove the rock if possible.

in my 13 yrs I have found pep shrimp will eat smaller ones but not larger

I had some in my first reef tank that I put super glue over when they retreated. As long as you cover them completely and they don't have a "back door" they really can't do anything about it.

I covered a few with epoxy. Cover them completely and securely.

I pulled the coral off the rock and threw the rock out.

You can always get peppermint shrimps to eat them.
