What are tunze systems?

I suppose people are talking about their Stream pumps. Technically Tunze SYSTEM is a modular filter system that Tunze came out with in the 70's. It is to be discontinued this year as that style of over tank filter is not very popular anymore. I would think they are speaking either of the pumps or their Osmolator or some other product or group of products from us. We make all kinds of stuff, maybe you can point me to specific threads?

The Osmolator is an auto top off system (osmotic regulator), the Stream 6100 is a propellor based electronic powerhead. It is computer controlled and has speed control, the pump uses a propellor instead of an impeller and produces a 3200gph flow from a 2" outlet and uses only 45w.

Depends on the model, the Electronic ones 6000, 6100 and 6200 are $250- $400.

The standard ones 6060 and 6080 that work just like a regular powerhead with no controls are $120-$180

6060 or 6080 ones, what are the specs for theM? so do u mean they produce 1,500 gph on a constant output???

like maxi just 10000XXXXXXXXx stronger??

The 6060 is 1600gph, the 6080 is about 2200gph. They are all the same size, roughly 4" square. They only come with speed control (electronic models only) but if you add one of our controllers you can make them pulse and have night mode and food timer. The 6060 and 6080 cannot be controlled in anyway, so unlike a maxijet absoutely no wavemakers. Unlike a standard powerhead, the prop only works if it spins the correct direction so it has a clutch to stop backwards rotation and this is destroyed by frequent on and off.
