What are you dosing your SPS tank?

Hi all,

I was curious to see what everyone is dosing their SPS reefs for optimal coloration and growth. I've been dosing Aquaforest's Coral A,B,V,E along with their Pro Bio S daily. Its getting a bit tedious with all the bottles though.

I've heard good this about Acropower and would like to give it a try.

Im running full zeo , all reefs are a ton of work but i must say that after switching to Zeovit , i 'll never do any other method again . Once dialed in its the least effort i have experienced, you just follow the rules and your in. For example i clean my glass twice a month on the inside which is a quarter of the outside maintenance . As far as growth and color all other methods pale in comparison . after twenty yrs reefing this is the way imo

After all that, i am settin up a frag tank to try the red sea method just to see, for two reasons really , their products are straightforward and they give the reasons why you are using the additives, no secrets whats in them either. And the other reason is cost, red seas stuff is far less expensive. good luck

AcroPower is similar to Coral A, and would take the place of it.

Acropower is a combo of Coral A and V amino and vitamins, from my understanding. I'm currently using the full line of AF which is suppose to be quite similar to Zeovit. There are several amazing tanks, notebly Debora's.

But I can't knock Zeovit.

I only do two WC 5% a week, with red sea coral pro (34gr / l), checked with triton, this is enough to keep all elements at optimal levels. For the rest, calcium reactor (KH, Ca and Mg) and food for fish and corals.

How much kalk water are you topping off each day? That seems pretty heavy in SPS to just top off with kalk to keep up with the demand

Between 5-6 gallons a day depending on the time of year. I have a 33 gallon cylinder I use for Kalk reservoir and I manually refill it each day with 5 gallons of ro water which helps keep it mixed up v

Very nice twon, its a beauty. Im a kalk only sps guy aswell. It just took 15 yrs to learn patience . Again very nice

Kalk in my ATO and acropower once a week. That's it. Let the fish do the rest

How many of you are carbon dosing? I'm dosing a mixture of 1 part vodka to 2 parts vinegar.

Instant ocean mostly, I'll grab a bucket of reef crystals if it's on sale. I change about fifty gallons two or three times a month

I dose daily using a bubbles magus dosing pump (8ml @0700 of ESV B- ionic part 1, 9ml @1900 of ESV B- ionic part 2, 7ml @0100 of Kent magnesium).

Display Tank is 36"x15"x16"(~37gal) and sump is ~ 7gal

Dose a 2 part, thats it. I do feed my SPS 3 times a week with about 1/2 the recommended amount of reef-roids only because I have a light fish load.
