Hey all...
yesterday I bought a green crocea clam from my lfs. It was on the small side but I have been wanting a green one. Once home after acclimating, the clam started to open up. I noticed a snail moving up on the shell of it. Keeping an eye on it, soon the snail covered the entire mantel area of the clam. I grab the snail off and moved it to another location. Half hour later the snail was on the clam again and this time there was slime all over the clam. I grabbed the snail off again and moved it into the rocks along with his 2 other buddies that were around. Lights went off and I check this morning and the poor little guy was eaten, the shell was clean on the inside. Needless to say i wasn't happy. I have had a Maxima going on 8 months now with no problems and now this. Could the snail have eaten it? Or maybe led to it's death and the other night creatures in the tank "did" what they do best. I'm at a loss.
Thanks for any help...
Jeff
