What camera kit do you run?

Per thread title, what camera gear do you run?

Chris (reefer334) came over and did some macro shots on my tank last night and I'm jealous! Would like to know what others are finding success with... TIA.

My P&S is a Cannon SD1000. I also have a Sony Alpha DSLR...
I still need alot of practice with both though... Looking for a nice prime lense for the Sony still too.
I am willing to bring my camera and spend an hour or two experimenting on tank shots if anyone's down! My memory card can hold over 3K photos in the largest (RAW) mode... I really have no idea what Im doing though!

Nikon D300 with an 18-200 VR lens... It works OK for tank shots but a macro lens would be way better. 8GB 233x card can hold around 500 shots in RAW format

If 8gb only holds 500 in RAW, I must be way off with my statement then! I did pre-confess that I really have no idea what Im doing though...
:)

A small average DSLR Point and shoot could very well hold 1k of RAW pictures. The Nikon holds EVERY SINGLE piece of info taken from the picture at 12.3 Megapixels.

I use a D80/18-200mm vr lens for everyday stuff. For tank stuff I screw on the 105mm vr. I also have a 50mm 1.8 that is a very fast lens for low light for $120. I mostly shoot in med/fine jpeg mode simply because I don't have all night to sit there on photoshop cs3. All of my pics are right from the camera with an auto fix in photobucket. :)

The 18-200mm is a great outdoor lens. If I had the extra dough, my choice would be the much faster 24-70mm 2.8 & 70-200mm 2.8.

Canon 5D body, Canon 17-40 f/4L, Canon 24-70 f/2.8L, Canon 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L, Canon 100 f/2.8 macro

:D

I have the canon power shot SD900 and the macro on that works good. my b/f has the D80 w/ the 18-200mm vr and a 105mm. i'm the cheap one.

Canon EOS Rebel XSI kit with the 18-55 and the 70-300 lens...Want the 100mm f/2.8 Macro badly though....darn you MARK!

I've got the same thing as Jeff exactly. I also am dying to get a macro lens.

Hey Jeff, maybe we can tie Mark up and kidnap his lens for a day. No one will notice right? (j/k) =)

I just sold most of my lenses for a full frame upgrade.

Here's what's left in the bag: Canon 20D, Canon 50mm 1.8, Sigma 24-70mm 2.8, Sigma 50-150mm 2.8, Canon 70-200mm 2.8 IS L.

For what I shoot 98% of the time, my dream kit would just be:
5D or 5DII
24-105mm f4 IS
70-200mm f4 IS
