hey guys my skimmer, a seaclone 100 (it actually works) is over flowing water into the collection cup? what can be done to make it stop? all i added to the tank was amquel+, liquid calcium, and kent superbuffer dkh. thanks.

Skimmers are funny things. Sometimes if you feed, dose - (in your case probably the amquel +), or do anything out of the ordinary some/most skimmers will overflow.
I would suggest doing a water change and then turning the skimmer back on.
If you have the money, i'd ditch the seaclown and buy a coralife super skimmer 125 (needlewheel). There's a big thread on it with lots of pictures/feed back and the overall general consensus is it can't be beat for the price and is much better than prizm or seaclown skimmers.

thanks for the info. im still saving up for a better skimmer so this is wut im stuck wit rite now but in all honesty it works pretty well. the thing is i dont wanna do another water change cuz i just did one yesterday. should i clean the skimmer instead? the manual says if this problem occurs to shut off the air valve all the way for a day so the things in the skimmer can break down. well i shut off the valve since yesterday and its still over flowing im thinking of just cleaning the whole unit.

I drilled a hole in the side of my seaclone 100, put in a hose barb and some hose and drain it into a container. My collection cup was filling up every 2 days, but I have been skimmerless for 5 years and don't keep a "spiffy clean" tank if you know what I mean.
