In the last chamber of my sump I am getting a 2" wave. The only thing I can think of is the water is surging from the 4" and not flowing evenly

If I cant fix the wave from happening will it hurt the sump? At least I could have some good action if I grow out some coral in it LOL

I'll bet there is an air pocket forming where you go from 2-4-2 (that's the sizes isn't it?) I would think the only way to allieviate that would be to put some kind of vent along the larger tube. Just a pipe rising up a couple feet from a "T" in the line and open on top.

It could be air, I bet at the end of the pipe I could drill into a flex tupe about 1/2" and run that up the wall for the air to vent.

Great thinking Roy, I bet thats it

Yeah, the wiring may be the problem also LOL as I have been told we really need those GFI's Steve, so when we do the rack lets plan on replacing the fuses with gfi fuses also

Yeah I know, but better safe than sorry. Or we replace the outlets with gfi outlets.

Oh Steve, there is a question on the boards about the electric hook up of sockets for lights. Take a look if you could
