What can go in with a BTA?

I am getting my first BTA soon. I was wondering what kind of corals, if any, I can keep with it. I just have LR now.

Anything you want really, you just have to be aware that an anemone will always win, so if it decides to take a walk, it'll sting what it touches. Being that your getting a nem first, you can let it settle in and find its spot, whitch is nice.

BUT.

1. since you only have a 24 gal. be aware they can get REALLY big. mine reached almost 16 inches before it split

2. Im guessing your new to the hobbie, since thats what your tag says. its a REALLY good idea to wait 6 months before adding an anemone so your tank can stabalize and it gives you time to figure out how to keep all your perimeters very stable. anemones are very sensative to changes

Thanks, my tank is 10 mo.s old. I still consider myself a newbie though, still have ALOT to learn lol!

How fast did yours grow? I have read that some grow large fast, others stay small for quite a long time...

well, i got it march 06.. and it split in october im pretty sure. and it split 3 ways. It was about 6 inches when i got it, so about ten inches in 8 months give or take.

here it was at it largest.

the maroon is around 2 1/2 inches give or take

few days after split
