What can I get

I'm in the process of trading for a 12 gallon eclipse system. I heard that I would be able to get a miniature octo to keep in this tank. does anyone know what they are called, where to get them, or approximately how much they cost? Thanks

Are you referring to an octopus?

I've had one before, set me back about 25$, about quarter sized. *Very* picky about water conditions. Excellent escape artists. From what I have read however, a small rim of astroturf around the top of the tank supposedly keeps them from escaping, apparently octopuses hate the feeling.

They don't ship well, so you'd have to special order through your LFS.

My LFS will probably charge me an arm and a leg for an octopus, are there any places online? Also, what are the miniature species named?

They really don't ship well and from the few places I have seen, do *not* offer "live on arrive" with them.

Don't recall their names but of course, stay away from the blue ring octopus.

This one is not minature they sell them 1 inch in size,but eventually they get very big srry about that.

there are many different species of octos with lots of small ones. these ussually have real short lifespans and are nocturnal.
