what can i put with a clown

IME clowns are pretty flexible. just as long as its not something too agressive like a trigger. one fish im gunna stay away from is hawk fish the little bastard i the male for my maroon pair. almost gave him the flush treatment. i think gobies work out pretty good. blennies. damsels will tend to pick at eachother because they are closely related to clownfish.

Puffer21 I notice that you have a 25 gallon tank and are wondering what to do with it. LOL Why not get 2 percula clownfish, a few hermit crabs, snails and a cleaner shrimp. I have seen some of your other posts, the stuff you want just wont work. The fish are either too big for the tank you have or they eat the other fish and inverts you want. You wouldn't put a deer in a cage with a wolf right? Or try to keep a St Bernard in a rabbits cage. The list I have given you should be very nice. Maybe the 2 clowns will fall in love and have babies. Which is very possible provided you keep up with the maintenance of the tank. If you like the hobby buy another larger tank and then you can have some of the other stuff that you want. With the money you save by not buying all the stuff you want only to watch it get eaten or die, you will be on your way to having the money to get a larger tank. If you do get "into" this hobby you will soon realize this stuff is expensive and to toss in a beautiful $ 50 fish and have it be eaten by a 20 dollar fish just doesn't make sense. Good luck to you. Oh and IME means In My Experience.

i agree with above. once you get ADDICTED youll be wanting another tank. but if your budget is tight you can stick with the 25, OR if your looking to set up a bigger tank use the 25 as a sump or fuge that would be REALLY beneficial to your tank.

I have a 29 gallon and I put a Cherub Angel with my two clowns and all three are best buds... but the addiction has already hit me and the 29 gallon isn't going to cut it soon. Upgrade coming very soon ;)

in a 25g your very limited, a couple of clowns and maybe a goby or blenny and some shrimp and snails should be about it. Add some corals etc if you have the lights obviously.

is a flame angel and a pair of percula clowns along with a fire shrimp and the rest of the cleanup crew ok in a 29 gal????
