What causes this?

^You will see small circle shaped bit marks in the tissue and poor PE.
Low alk can cause poor color as can low iodine and nitrates over 5ppm.
How long have you had the browned out sps? What are your water parameters? What lighting are you using?

Your Ca could come up a bit around 400-420 mag is ok but could come up to 1300. Your are using a good light. What are your nitrates? Do you does any potassium iodine like Lugos or other iodine additive? It helps with sps color. How often do you do water changes? What size tank?

I havent tested my nitrates. "/ I havent been dosing but I previosly dosed Potassium, Strontium, Iodine from brightwell. Well I was busy so I didnt do any water changes for about 3 weeks until last week I did a 15 gallon water change. I have a 60 gallon tank.

If you have aefw, or think you do, is it possible to still have PE? I noticed some white spots on two corals but I still have great PE and color and growth.
