Over the past few months I've lost three different zoa frags. They start out opening fine and then slowly stop. Eventually, they darken and crust over before finally disappearing completely. I have shrooms, LPS, Rics, etc... all doing fine. It's just zoas that I'm struggling with. My question is, what are the common causes of death? Here's my params:
4x65w PC over 90gal
Moderate flow
Temp=80-81
Sal=1.024
Calc=440
Alk=12
Amm/trites/trates=0
No dosing, just 20% WC every two weeks.
My reef tank is very clean (just one year old). Could it be too clean for zoas? Too young?
