what clown fish grows the largest?

Ora spotcintus is the largest by far. They are a designer breed and very expensive so you don't see many of them in the trade.

Huh? Spotcinctus is still A. bicinctus and listed as a smaller clown despite being very similar and in the same complex as chrysopterus.

On a second note, I don't believe this is hands down answer. Please keep in mind most people have never even seen chrysopterus in person, let alone large adults. About 5 years ago I ordered a pair of Solomon Island chrysopterus from bluezoo and talked to one of their head livestock people before ordering because they had every size available from tiny to extra large. I asked about the extra large ones and was told they had two, but they weren't looking very good. I ended up ordering a large and a medium. When they came in, the medium fish was a good 4 inches and the large was in the 6 inch range. Both were what I would consider very large clowns. I only can speculate on how big the XL ones were, but if they were bigger than the 6 inch fish I recieved, they had to be quite extraordinarily large clowns.

I've heard that mccullochi suppose to be largest, but of course nobody in captivity can confirm that.

I've seen very large Clarkii complex & Tomato complex fish & maroon
