what color are GSM eggs?

Bright freakin' red like rubies...got to see some at RPI earlier this week. They kinda blend in with the terra cotta.

FWIW, a flashlight may help with egg detection, especially if they're INSIDE the pot.

Unfortunately, I can't take credit for that counting method - saw something like that somewhere else, maybe even in another thread here. Just open up good 'ole photoshop, make a new layer over the photo, and start "painting dots". When you get to 100, switch color ;)

My GSM eggs are always maroon for the first few days then they take on the reflective sheen of the babies eyes when they are about ready to hatch.
 
These are a couple of days old (WSM, but similar to GSM and all clowns for that matter). They start off bright orange (hard to see against the pot as Derek says) and then turn darker:
