Hi I am thinking of setting up a small 29 gallon reef tank. I like false percula clowns and bangii cardinals . Can I keep these 2 spieces together ? How many of each type ? Thanks :D

no more than two ocellaris clowns, and probably no more than two bangaii's. 29g is not a lot of space to work with as far as bio-load goes.

Also, be sure to get captive bred bangaii cardinals. They're on the endangered species list.

A pair of captive bred ocellaris and a pair of captive bred banggais would probably be ok in a 29G if you don't feed heavily. If you have a sump it would help a lot.

Thanks guys for the advise. One more thing Im thinking about is having 1 maroon clown, I know 2 is not a good idea! Plus what else , can I put the bangaii cardinals with the 1 maroon clown ?:o

The tank is too small for a maroon and anything else but maybe another maroon, a pair would work provided that's all you have. That is my opinion based on my experience w/maroons.

If you get 2 juvinelles they will (with luck) accept each other and become a pair. Maroons are IMO the most beautiful clownfish and have very firey personalities, they are very agressive towards others so if you do go with them you can't keep any other fish in a tank that size. If you have proper lighting you could keep a bta (maroon's natural host) in a 29 with them, and you would not be sorry, that would be a sweet set up. : )
