I'm watching the tank late at night, and I see a worm in the rock, I didn't think it was very big...It was light in color and looked kinda like a milipede then it really started coming out to eat...any movement in the tank it would suck back in...

I didn'tknow how long it was till I saw it (about 6")...So I removed the rock and gave it some squirts of RO, and nothing...Ididn't want to keep the rock out long and started loosing some brittle stars and sepents...So I put the rock back in the tank without the worm removed...

I have a ton of brittle stars in the tank but hated loosing some of them...I still probally have at least 50 stars left in the tank, but I would say I lost 10 or so :mad2:

Both are detrivrours.....so they are both good. Biological diversity is also good.

with that many stars, sounds extreme to me for that size of tank.

I don't think your doing anything wrong per se, but perhaps having false expectations?

Or maybe I am not understanding your question?

It is a bristle worm and is an important member of your reef community. Leave it be. As for the starfish; if the is any part of the central disk attached to a leg it will grow a brand new starfish. The little buggers multiply when cut to pieces.

+1 keep the bristleworm, they are good at eating left over food and detritus, they are beneficial to your reef
