Anyone?
Ever since receiving this clam (about two-three months ago) it has not been standing upright. Always laying down like this.
And now today it looks as if it expelled its "foot"
It looks like hes trying to move. I had a maxim do this when he was in the rocks and wanted on the sand. He left something that had strings on it but he wasn't on his side. I can't tell you what to try since this is a different kind of clam. In fact my clam is a tear drop just like yours
It's a crocea, which prefer to be up in the rockwork. You'll notice that the shape of the shell is suited for fitting into small crevices, where it will burrow itself a nice home.
Here's how I always position mine:
If you can't find a suitable spot on your rockwork, try surrounding it with a nice bed of rubble on the sand. That might help it feel more secure.
