This has got to be the most popular one. Here is a link to petco. You can try it out and if you dont like it, its easier to return there than by mail order.

id rather have a digital timer. I have a cheapo meter one like that and the time gets off on it alot plus its hard to set exact minutes.

I live in Trenton NJ,& Icecap HQ is like 15 minutes from me.

When Andy was still with Icecap i had a VorTec before they hit the stores.:D

Intermatic and Timex sells a digital timer with multiple settings and run times down to 1 minute for about 17.00 or so at HD and Lowes. They are grounded with grounded plug ins and high amp capability

They look like this one here:

Yeah i know that they are pricy,BUT i can contest to the fact that cutting corners on equiptment will one day kick your a$$.Its a small price to pay with all the money we spend on our reef's.

well I need 3-4 of them, so I would get an aquacontroller before I spent $200 on 4 times.

Makes sence.;)

They have changed the look of them since I bought mine but basically the same. I had them running my MHs on my systems as well as VHOs and etc. I switched to a reefkeeper on my larger tanks and moved them to my Nano tanks. Been running them for close to 3 yrs with no problems with them.
I run one on a Kalk reactor so I can have it kick on multiple times a day for a few minutes. Another controls some fans for my canopy on another tank and others some lights.
Like I said they are 15amp timers so most lights will work fine on them.

Like another poster said its better not to get a cheap version as it will only cost you more in the long run. These are cheaper but not too bad in quality and work fine from experience with them.

Coralife, and I HATE it!

I used one of those coralife digital timers for almost 8 months without a single problem... What do you hate about it?

Whatever you do, don't buy Grasslin digital timers. I bought two...both defective. Vendor sent me two replacements...both defective. They are POS.
