What disease is this?

I'm not sure if you can tell from these pictures, but they are the best I could get. It almost looks like he is covered in dust. I don't think it is Ich cause it doesn't appear to be just white spots. I hope someone can help me with this. I really love this guy, and don't want to lose him.

If this is a new fish, or you have recently added something to the tank, try googling (or do a search here for) Amyloodium or marine velvet. If that doesn't match then google Brookynella.

Both are pretty fatal and take out fish quite quickly.

If you have had the fish for a while and nothing has been added for 2+ months then it might be "something else".

The female tomato clown I have developed grey patches, which hung around a bit and then just cleared up all by themselves. No other fish was affected. The clown looks great and is queen of the tank.

It looks like velvet (amyloodiniosis.) It is a very fast acting parasite. Do a FW dip in a clear container. If find what looks like "dust" after the FW dip it is velvet for sure. Treat with copper. If there are any other fish remove and treat also. Keep tank fishless for 4-6 weeks. If you don't see dust it will be brook.

Looks like a bad case of velvet to me. If possible to quarantine and copper treat do so asap.
