what do i feed pepp shrimp?

they are scavengers and part of the clean up crew, you shouldn't need to feed them specifically.

You could feed them some aptasia if you want

they are scavengers, but i would still feed them 1-2
a week... i have found all my shrimps love formula 1 & 2
pellets! they are perfect size they will get use to this and
take them right out of your hands...i use to not feed mine
then i woke up on day and a peppermint was eating
the foot of a clam, and killed it... so i have feed these
guys now for about a year and they love it, and still
keep cleaning up the tank...Greg

since there are no fish in my tank right now, and there is no left over food to scavenge, i guess i should get a little something for them to eat

They'll survive off of dying stuff (what little there is) for a few days. Then, I'd feed whatever goes to the fish, to train the shrimp (e.g. pieces of flake or frozen) to go after fish food

My shrimp eat shrimp. I shave off small pieces of frozen shrimp and handfeed my shrimp. I only do that once in awhile. She scavanges around for the rest of her meal when I feed the fish. I also use frozen shaved sea scallops.
