What do I have here?

Hey guys,

I picked up this little yellow carpet yesterday, it was sold to me as a saddleback/haddoni carpet, looked the part to me too. I have several haddoni's right now and this one is just acting differently.

Both my haddoni's as soon as they were In the tank buried themselves in the sand and grabbed the bottom glass.

This guy refuses to grab glass, and after burying him in the sand he continues to un bury himself and sit on the top of the sand. I finally have him attached to some live rock, which neither of my haddoni's will do. and when placed In the tank he elongates his foot and almost looks like a tube anemone with a haddoni tip...

Am I just over thinking this?

I think you might have an s. gigantea and not a s. Hadonni. Are there purple dots(verracue) on the underside of the anemone?

I'm am pretty sure what you have is a gig. If you look at picture number three on the right hand side you can definately see verrucae.

I got one hell of a deal if it's a gig, but I can't keep Gig's at all.... I'll try and get a better picture of the base for you guys for the verracue

Looks like a gig to me. Has the typical balding of an unhappy gig.
