What do I need for QT/hospital tank?

I have two small tanks in the garage which I plan to use as QT and/or hospital tanks. My question is what do I need in them?

I have bought small heaters and an air pump with air stone for each. Is that enough or do I need filters or powerheads etc?

I use the small hang on the back tetra filters from wal mart. You can seed the filters in your main tank to assist with adding good bacteria to a qt. If you are treating ht with meds just use the foam pad that comes with it and rinse it regularly. A small Powerhead for water movement and surface agitation is a good idea too.

Thought it would take care of the flow too.

They unclip quite easily and the sponges come out to clean. I come apart quite well. But is that the sort of thing you was talking about?

I use the internal filters like you posted so I can still put a top over the tank. I've lost too many fish over the years with no top.

Well, I went 3 months without a filter. I just had a heater and an airstone. I just kept Prime on-hand and kept up with the water changes.
