What do I need to do to improve?

Hi all,

my camera has been fixed (a cheap point and shoot) and took a few snaps. I was wondering if anyone could give some pointers?

Thank you.

i love the first one

for your lizards, i might add a second light on the side so that his face isn't dark

the focus seems a little off on the other corals except for the second zoa picture. those have a really nice composition too

the other ones are a little dark too. i might try to add light at least in postprocessing

Thank you very much. The nem. photo is my new background image :)

I find it hard to get much into focus. The camera has a set (or at least I can't figure out how to change) aperture of F4 and auto focus. I had turned down the exposure for some reason, I'll turn it up next time. :)

I found that article very helpful, thank you. :)

New pictures, after a quick touch-up.

I'm still finding a focus issue.

The polyps look all smudged together, if that makes sense.

idk if you did but if you turn your pumps and PH off, there will be less movement and might be able to get sharper/clearer pictures

It's hard to say that your doing right or wrong I guess. With just a point and shoot camera they come out really nice just a few are out of focus and stated above I would bring in another light to capture more that is shadowed off but nice pics
