what do you do when your clams outgrow your tanks?

Hi, I've been looking around the forums and have been seeing some tanks that have clams that when are grown wiill be too big for the tank. For example I've seen some people with a derasa in a 20g nano and a gigas in a 40g and a lot of cases where there are maximas and squamosas in 10 and 15 gallon tanks. Do you just give them away or put them in a bigger tank when they out grow there current reef?

This is why I stick with smaller clams. No gigas for me...seems silly when I see people buying gigas and sticking them in a small tank.
