What do you dose?

I have always had a problem with figuring out what to dose. I mean what combination of supplements are you supposed to dose, when are you supposed to dose them and how much. So if anyone could please help me with this that would be great. Right now I have a 20 gallon sorta mixed reef but with in the next two weeks I will be up grading to a 55 gallon. I know in the future I plan to add many sps and lps because those are my favorite.

only dose what you test for.

In a basic typical reef aquarium you should monitor levels of calcium, alkalinity and magnesium.

This is a realllyyyy broad question. It all depends on the persons individual tank and inhabitants. You may want to dose a 2 part and Mag, you may want to dose vitamin C , you may want to dose Vodka/Mb7. It really depends on what you want to go for and how much need your tank has for it. You need to find out the calcium consumption in ur tank first if your going to dose a 2 part. Your going to want to assess if you want to run a ULNS to dose vodka/bacteria . I like to dose Vitamin C on a daily basis and i always have since the start of my tanks. I just find an over all healthier tank and fish. Post all of your tank specs and post what you would like to achieve and then people may be able to give you suggestions.Be careful dosing anything if you dont know exactly what your doing or you may crash your tank!!Good luck!
