What do you feed your Yellow Assessor?

Hello everyone. i'm just getting started in this hobby and I have two ORA raised yellow assessors. I'm really interested in hearing everyones choices and opinions on what they feed their little guys!

I plan on having a lightly stocked and very peaceful tank. Probably start putting some corals in soon.

at first my little guys liked the H2O mini mysis but now that I've added nutramar ova and some of my DIY food to their menu they don't get as excited about the mini mysis anymore. they've even started eating flake, albeit not very aggressively.

they really go crazy over the nutramar ova. feeding frenzy style.

if you've got a assessor flavissimus, what do you feed them? what is their favorite meal? Thanks for reading my long post lol

*my DIY food has shrimp, oysters, clams, mussels, halibut and squid with some H2O vitamins very lightly added. frozen flat.

I don't have any assessors, but every fish I've ever kept has gone nuts for cyclopeez. The small-size Spectrum pellets have also been popular.

I'm seriously thinking of getting one or two ORA assessors for my peaceful SPS nano system. What size tank are you keeping them in, and where did you get them? Did they come as a pair?

they wont touch the NLS 1mm pellets. i got some hikari small fish pellets, no deal. they just watch them sink lol. gonna try the NLS .35mm pellets when i can get my hands on them. they are not thrilled by the cyclopeez either...

I bought them at my LFS which has an online store but they are not offered on their website. they were not technically a pair but they were both in the same tank at the LFS. one is a bit bigger than the other and sometimes darts at the smaller one but they hang out for the most part, i'm guessing they may both be males. i have them in a 34G solana AIO with about 25-30 pounds of live rock and 30 pounds of live sand. cycled my tank for almost 4 months with just a CUC. they seem happy and are active and eating well, i feed them twice a day. they are pretty cool little dudes... and they are pigs!!

mine are ORA as well. i think they are young. don't know if that makes a difference.

i'll ask my LFS what their origin was...
