quick story is I switched from MH to led. Starting LEds at 20%. My nem after months of doing great and never moving, I catch him on the power head! He seemed not to be injured and moved to a different location. Now he does this, he will not attach his foot. He just stays upside down. Did this kill him?

Switching from MH's to LED's wiped out half my anemone's. I started the LED's out very high and low power and tried to follow all of the advice offered to me as far as adaptation to my current tank was concerned. Didn't matter, they died one by one. I've since switched back to MH's and the ones that lived are starting to come back to full health. Point is, my guess is it's the lights.

Anybody else switch from MH to LED with nems and have no problems with it at all? With the amount of people going to LED's these days I cant imagine everybody has lost their nems.

I switched from mh to LEDs with no problem at all. If you make the switch correctly there should be no issue. Your anemone does not look good, but it does not look to be dead to me. I would be willing to bet you are having more issues due to water quality opposed to lighting.

What are your water parameters?
What size tank?
What lighting were you using? What are you using now?

I agree. The white light from LED is far stronger than that of MH. First off I would start by purchasing an LED that is dimmable, then light acclimate every coral, invert in your tank.

I really don't check many of my water parameters because I have been good for so long. I only check alk and calc and those are both in your normal. I guess I could check some other parameters. Its a 40 gal, I was using a coralife 150W MH and I just built an led fixture. My LED fixtures is dimmable and I ran it at the lowest setting for 5 days before I bumped up the power.

The nem would just seem he doesnt want to attach his footing anywhere. He stayed in the same place all of last night which hopefully is a good sign.

You need to test your nitrates, nitrites, ammonia and phosphates. I believe you will find your issue in one of those tests. We still need more info on your LED fixture? What kind of leds and how many? I would start your LEDs at 30% and gradually ramp them up once a week. You might want to go to your local lfs and rent a PAR meter if your uncertain how much light your led fixture is producing. good luck.

When I bought my Hadonni of another reefer, it was under MH's. I put it under LED's and it's only grown by leaps and bounds. That being said I used window screen to acclimate it top the new light over a 3 to 4 week period. I took it slow to make sure i didn't bleach or damage it in any way. I'll be getting a second Hadonni in another week or 2.
